Russell Thompkins, Jr. and the New Stylistics performing in Atlantic City, June 14th, during the PBS Special - The Philly International Records Show! "Love Train". The show will air nationally on PBS in December. Other artists on the show included the Three Degrees, Bunny Sigler, Jerry Butler, Teddy Pendergrass, Intruders, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, GC Cameron, Jean Carne, and the O'Jays. The show was hosted by legendary Philadelphia DJ Jerry Blavat (the Geator with the Heator).

For over 30 years Russell Thompkins, Jr. has been the original lead singer of the Stylistics. His impeccable falsetto voice led the group to international fame and recognition, recording such hits as:
