He transcends the genre beyond the boundaries of any of his contemporaries. In 1958, Jackie Gore along with Bobby Tomlinson founded the world famous musical group the Embers of Raleigh, NC. For over 37 years, Jackie Gore was the lead singer and voice of the Embers. In 1995, Jackie decided to pursue a solo career and in 2004, formed his new band “Jackie Gore and the Mighty All-stars”.
Jackie Gore is considered by many to be the Father of Beach Music - and the ambassador of Carolina Music for the world. Over the years, many thousands of young people, college students and others, first heard and were introduced to Carolina Rhythm N’ Blues music through performances by Jackie Gore and the Embers at dances, frat parties and special events where the band performed. Jackie and the music he made with the Embers are also vastly popular through the Northern Soul scene in the UK. Songs such as “Watch Out Girl” and “It Ain’t Necessary” and “Where Did I Go Wrong”.

As a songwriter, Jackie penned perhaps the all time greatest tribute to Carolina Beach Music with his 1979 classic “I Love Beach Music”.
In 1994, Jackie released his first solo cd entitled “Jackie Gore Family & Friends”, a project he both produced and engineered. In 2002, Jackie released his second solo cd entitled “The Real Thing”, distributed by EMN Records and recorded and produced by Tim Eaton at Studio East, in Charlotte, NC. The project featured the hit “Turn Your Love Around”.
Simultaneously since 1995, Jackie Gore has been working and recording for Forevermore Records, and has had several new songs that have made the Beach Music Charts and have become staples of Beach Music radio. Hits such as “Reputation”, “Whatever Makes You Happy”, “Concrete Jungle” (recorded with the Mighty Tams) and “This Is What You Mean To Me” (featured on the Forevermore release “Soul Steppin’ On Ocean Drive”). In the Spring of 2007, Jackie will release his third solo CD on Forevermore Records entitled “Soulful Provider” FVR 4619-2. The new cd features the Johnny Bristol penned massive classic “Just A Kiss Away”.
